Why would anybody want to buy a pre-loaded picture frame?

Today’s thing I learned: Kodak sells digital photo frames with preloaded pictures. I guess I have to get out more. I got an email from Kodak promoting special offers and this one popped out at me:

30% off all Digital Frames with Picture Card at the Kodak Gallery! 8″ Preloaded Frames just $124.99.

I didn’t know these things existed, and I’m having a hard time getting my mind wrapped around why you would want one. I thought the whole idea of digital photo frames was that you could load up a memory card, toss it in the frame and show off YOUR photos, not somebody else’s.

The one reason I can think of wanting one of these is if you’re a realtor and want to ‘stage’ or show a house. You’d bring one of these, and show off models or whatever they’re preloaded with – does anybody have one of these? I’m interested. What are the pictures of?

My guess is the photos are of sunsets, and the like.  But, if these things are for you, you can save 30% on them.

Myself, I’d rather fill the picture frame up with my photos.
