It’s true. RitzCamera sent me a ‘deals of the week’ flyer and one of them is on the D700 so it looks as if the pricing has dropped. A quick check of pricing from others confirms. The Nikon D700 is cheaper
Ritz has the D700 for $2699.00, Amazon for $2519.00, $2679 at Adorama, and B+H has it for $2699.95.
This makes a hard buying decision for those trying to justify a D3 when you could get real close to having 2 D700′s for the same price.
These things are like computers. Buy the best you can today. Don’t worry about what’s next as there’s always something ‘next’.
