LunchBox Photos
23 Oct
No…not photos of my lunch.
Half the battle with photography is just doing it. I’ve made the best photos when ‘just’ out on a walk, and this is what this series is going to be about. I get up at 5am and hit the keyboard running. By noon, I’m ready for two things: 1. Lunch, (duh), and 2. to do something else other than sit in front of this Macbook any more.
Today it’s cold out here in Moncton, NB. Bright, but it’s the first cold day here and to say it’s a wake up call for what’s to come is an understatement. The easy thing would be to stay in, ( I do this from home) turn up the heat, and keep at it here on the macbook.
But the camera doesn’t take the photos. I know I’ve been out with a long lens, and body and somebody stops me and says ” Oh, that thing must take good pictures”. The camera doesn’t take any pictures. You do. And, just like the ads…you just have to ‘do it. Nobody will take the picture for you. Won’t happen.
Today, I learned. I learned that while you’re concentrating on one photo:
Another one drives right by!!
Both of these photos are far from award winners, but I was out there shooting. trying different things, getting some fresh air, and most importantly having fun.
I can’t wait until tomorrow’s lunch.
