Earnings and Stats. November 9 2008

Income for today wasn’t too bad. I have to remember that this site is only one month old. The fact that there’s any sort of traffic or earnings at all so quickly is quite good, and I think I know why: I write. just write. The news headlines are my summaries of the news that I think is important. This is one guys’s opinion.. If you need every headline, updated as it happens I’m not the site for you. Subscribe to a bunch of RSS feeds with your favorite newsreader. It all comes down to work. There are no shortcuts. No script, no programs or otherwise. If you don’t work, you don’t get the reward. Can’t write?  Pay somebody. Have a family member write it. But you have to two things to make a site a success. Update it every day and stick to it. Don’t let life get in the way. If you’d do it for free, you’re on to something. I’d do this for free. Sure, I’ll admit that I’m interested in the earnings, but I would do it for free. I’m more interested in this study. Can I take a website from an idea to a success in a relatively short time, with little to no expenses? I’m out a few bucks for the hosting and the design cost $100, but that’s about all I plan on spending. Let’s see if this will work

Traffic.

Traffic stayed pretty much the same as it’s been at 1842 Unique Visitors. It seems that this number is pretty steady so far. Some of this traffic is the paid traffic I had bought but that’s becoming less and less and the search engine traffic is picking up. 

Grand Total

-43.94 + 14.09 + 1.09 = -$28.69. 

My guess is I hit the break even point by week’s end, maybe sooner, but I think week’s end would be about right.
