The new Canon EOS 1D Mark IV is the new and perfect choice for professional photographers and advanced amateur photographers on the move. High Speed 45 Point Autofocus
Using a newly developed high precision area AF system, with 45 manually selectable focus points that include 29 cross type points the Canon EOS 1D Mark IV offers fast and exact focusing regardless of the subject matter. The new AI Servo Focus tracking uses algorithms that have been improved for stability and reliablity when focusing regardless of shooting situation:

Using the Main Controller or Main Quick Dial Control, photographers can select their own point of focus. Selection of focus points are easy as pushing a button. Default focus points can be selected through the viewfinder and these focus points will automatically switch between horizontal and vertical focusing positions. Photographers can even add adjacent focus points to help assist with the primary focus point that has been selected.
Outstanding ISO Range
The EOS-1D Mark IV features a standard ISO range from 100 – 12800 with an expanded range of 50 to 102400!
The noise reduction available on the the Canon EOS 1D Mark IV using the Dual Digic IV processors ensure that even whe shooting at ISO 102400, image noise is kept to a minor amount. The expanding ISO range allows for an increased range of shooting situations that occur in the real world when shooting in low or available lighting conditions. Using a low ISO speed is helpful in shooting high contrast photos with fast lenses. Highlights that could be blown out (such as a bride’s dress) can be avoided, and use of wider apertures to control depth of field can also be used. The Canon EOS 1D Mark IV features an Auto Lighting Optimizer that is available in most shooting modes including manual mode. This shooting mode can also be applied when shooting RAW.
Advanced Movie Recording
The Canon EOS ID Mark IV allows for video capture as well as, and employing all the benefits of shooting with an EOS Digital SLR Camera. The recording area on the Canon EOS 1D Mark IV is approximately the same as the recording area of Super 35mm motion picture film.
Using the large sensor area in the CMOS sensor, photographers and videographers alike can take advantage of shooting video, but with all the faetures allowed to shooting with DSLR cameras. Along with manual controls, the Canon EOS 1D Mark IV can use the full array of Canon EF lenses. These lenses include wide angle, macro, super telephoto, tilt shift and fisheye lenses that provide for a depth of field and shooting options once limited only to still photography. The video that results is outstanding in depth of field, capture quality under less than optimal lighting situations and deep clean, low noise blacks. When using the AE modes, the EOS 1D Mark IV uses center weighted averaging for metering to allow for stable motion picture exposure. The digital SLR automatically selects the aperture, ISO speed and shutter speed too. For those that want more control for their shooting situations, full manual control is also available in the Canon EOS 1D Mark IV when shooting video.
Video Capture can be done at up to 1920×1080 resolution at frame rates at 24, 25 or 30 frames per second, and up to 4gb per clip. When saving movies as MOV files, the movies can be viewed in full HD and with HDMI output. Other recording sizes available are 1280×720, or 640×480. Using the built in mono microphone, audio is recorded for simple mono recording. Stereo recording of audio can be done with a self powered external microphone.
High Speed Digital Processing
