I am: Jim Fitzsimmons, 42, and if it beeps, buzzes or otherwise – it must be mine.
Thus, Photo Daily News is born.
In my twenties, I thought to myself, what do I want to do? 22 Years later I’m still asking the same question so here I am with Photo Daily News. The last time I put this much effort into a site it was ramseeker.com and I’m happy to report that 12 years and a few dot com bust’s later ramseeker is still thriving. It’s all about finding your niche. Digital Photography might be a bigger niche, but I think there’s still room for one more here.
The world doesn’t need another dry digital camera review site with 40+ pages of ads and every little hair split about every litte detail. I plan to review stuff that interests me and is somehow related to photography and most importantly is reviewed for and by normal people. I’m not a pro. I’m a guy with computer skills, and on a good day, some photography skills too.
I do have training in photojournalism, and have had my photos published in such respectable publicationas the national enquirer. I’ve got 8 years under my belt riding the desk at a daily newspaper before striking out on my own with ramseeker and I haven’t looked back. I don’t plan on getting a day job now. So, here we are.
I plan on sharing my photos with you, and my failures as well as my succeses with you.
